ABOUT BRIGITTE

 

Brigitte is co-owner of Capstone Custom Homes and the creative director of Bloom Kitchens.  She started her career in business and IT consulting and in 2009 decided to pursue her passion for interior design and architecture.  She partnered with Barry Laidlaw to start Capstone Custom Homes where her passion for interior design and creating beautiful spaces was on full display.  Brigitte decided to further her studies in interior design at Yorkville University.   She has designed several interiors that have been nominated for awards in the Calgary region.  "A peaceful, well designed, comfortable home can provide solace and joy."  Brigitte says.  "This all starts with the kitchen, which is the heart of the home".

 

Brigitte is passionate and understands the importance of working closely with her clients, to create a timeless space that they love and where they truly feel at home!   Brigitte feels immense satisfaction hearing clients say they love their Capstone Custom Home and, of course, the overall experience they had in building it.  She wants to extend this offering on the renovation side, helping people renovate their kitchens and bathrooms in a cost effective way, keeping what you can and updating areas that are in need of a refresh, and so we are excited to introduce BLOOM Kitchens, a division of Capstone Custom Homes!

Where did the name BLOOM kitchens come from?

 

My sister told me that when she was a young lady, starting her adult life, someone gave her the advice to ‘bloom where you're planted’ and looking back, she did just that.  She is the true example of it with her hard work ethic, positive energy and zest for life.  I’ve always admired her for this quality (and her sense of humour 😊).   When deciding on the name for this new venture, the word BLOOM resonated with me.  It’s twofold, it’s about life and it’s about where we live.  If we take the attitude of blooming where we’re planted, it can be a pretty wonderful thing and BLOOM kitchens would love to help you bloom in the home where you live.
